Knowledge Transfer Networks

Red-M is a member of the following Knowledge Transfer Network. KTN's are government funded bodies set up to bring industry and academia together and to foster the UK knowledge economy:

 

 

Knowledge Transfer Networks

A key objective of the Electronics-KTN is to provide access for companies right across the electronics value chain to knowledge that will help them to understand how to capitalise on their innovations.

The Digital Communications KTN members share White Papers on technical developments and business planning, Case Studies of new business ventures, coordination in Research programmes, links to business sectors inside and outside the communications environment, information on developing regulation and standards and an industry technology roadmap.

The Location and Timing KTN supports the UK 's drive to lead Europe in location-based services and technology. This KTN aims to encourage traditional British industries to integrate location and timing applications into their systems to encourage development and position the UK as the technology leader.

 

Nomad

Red-M is a Nomad Special Interest Supporter.

Project Nomad is a National Project, sponsored by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, dedicated to mobile and flexible working in local government. As a centre of excellence for such working, Nomad’s aim is to analyse, demonstrate and evaluate the potential benefits and savings that can be made by introducing mobile and flexible working technology solutions.


AIM UK

Red-M is a member of AIM UK, the RfID association for the UK.

AIM UK represents the automatic identification, data capture and mobility industries. Its members are the providers and users of the technologies, systems and services that capture, manage and integrate accurate data into larger information management systems.


BSI

BSI British Standards is the UK's National Standards Body (NSB).

In February 2004 Red-M became officially accredited with the BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 registration, indicating that Red-M's Quality Management System complies with the requirements of the British, European and International standard BS EN ISO9001: 2000.


Link-up Certificate Of Verification

In March 2007 Red-M passed the latest audit to qualify for the Certificate Of Verification from Link-up.

Link-up is the UK rail industry's supplier qualification scheme, providing a single common registration, qualification and audit process for suppliers that is shared by the UK rail industry.

 

 

Red-M was appointed a technology pioneer by the World Economic Forum for the third consecutive year in 2004. This award is bestowed on companies which are considered most likely to have a substantial future impact on world business and society.


In 2004 SmartPlan, a Red-M network design tool which optimizes wireless networks and maximizes ROI, won the Innovation Network Award 2004 for Longer Term Collaboration.
